Stayed here for a week and found the hotel great by all standards. OK, it's not on par with 5* western luxury such as Raffles but then it's not pretending to be. It's a well run, spacious, clean and friendly Cambodian style hotel. Lots of wood everywhere. Rooms are big and clean. Hot shower and bath tub, great water pressure. Everything worked as expected. Directly across the road from the Musuem and 5 min tuk tuk to Pub Street. Close enough to walk home under the influence. Nice pool and great massage area by it. Nothing better than rolling from sun lounger into pool and then massage. Breakfast was fine and plentiful. Food in restaurant, no problem, try the chicken and ginger. The Manager & Owner, English native, is incredibly well informed on everything and a genuinely nice young guy. He took a friend and I to the Khmer Boxing where we got VIP ringside table - definitely worth it. Internet worked brilliantly. For the price I paid I would definitely return. Room Tip:“Rooms at back overlook the pool, rooms at the front overlook the National Musuem opposite. Don't forget this is Siam Reap so it's quiet everywhere. There is no lift so go for lower floors if you don't like stairs. It's only a couple of floors to the top floor anyway.” (Worldaroundus)

My husband and I have just spent 3 nights at this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. But the hotel is in need of up dating. There were stains on the carpet in hall ways. No lift so avoid if stairs are a problem. The 1st room we shown to had not been checked as rubbish on the bed side table.Bathroom did not look clean. We had booked a deluxe room and this did not look like one from picture we had seem on internet. After my husband complained we were moved to another room. This room looked looked like a deluxe room though it was still basic. We ran out of toilet paper. Our bath was never cleaned properly. The shower curtain did not look clean. The lighting in the room was poor so difficult to read. The safe deposit box did not work and small. Will only fit passport , phone but not tablet. There was not much choice at breakfast. Two morning rolls tasted stale and this morning there was insects on jam and fruit. There asian cooked food but other cooked food you had to pay extra. Had a massage but the girl talked to others in room which i found off putting.Best bit of trip was our tuk tuk driver who we hired for 2 days.we found him on internet.his name is Sokha. He pick us up from bus. Spent two days sight seeing and drops us at airport. Stayed April 2014, traveled as a couple

We recently stayed at the Angkoriana and were pleased with the standard for the price you pay. It is really central to everything and opposite the museum , outside there is a lot of transport available if you want to go into Pub street or the night markets. The rooms are modern with ok bathrooms and air con, the beds are really comfortable. Around the reception and corridors were nice local artwork and the pool area was nice. Breakfast was a basic buffet affair with the usual choices of western or Asian tastes, we had dinner there one night and the pizza was great with cold beer and chardonnay. The staff were all great and really helpful, if you want low cost, good location and clean rooms this place fits the bill. A tuk tuk driver operating out of here Mr Mian is great also with good local knowledge. Stayed April 2014, traveled with friends
